In a dark alleyway just outside the city center, a winding corridor leads to an unremarkable basement door. Through this door, Aer finds that she’s not the only victim of MurAlde’s unethical experiments. A ragtag group of people, bonded together through shared trauma, have found safety in this rundown apartment.
MurAlde will stop at nothing to ensure their secrets stay hidden. Former test subjects who did survive found themselves on the run, living in secrecy with nothing to their name. Those who didn’t survive left behind friends and family suffering a painful loss with no explanation. This hideout serves as a home for those who need it, and a base for those seeking vengeance.

Amari had been studying bioluminescence on Earth before MurAlde ripped away his spirit and placed it in an alien body on Iythara. He managed to escape the MurAlde Headquarters and was eventually led to safety by one of the other test subjects. Initially unwilling to accept that Iythara is real, he believed that he accidentally shifted to an alternate version of reality, triggered by one of his bioluminescent experiments. The Test Subjects allowed him to take over a large room at the back of the hideout to continue his experiments in hopes of finding a way home.
His lab reflects his disorganized, panicked state of existence. Haphazardly assembled desks and shelves line the walls, littered with various research notes and tools. At the back, an entire wall is covered with tanks of happy and well-fed bioluminescent creatures. Some of these creatures are specific to Iythara, but many of them are also present on Earth. Unlike MurAlde, Amari makes sure his test subjects are comfortable and keeps their spirits in their bodies where they belong.
